For product managers applying now
Your best launch, written up as the decisions you made.
A head of product reads your case study the way a design lead reads a designer’s: the outcome first, then the calls you owned and what each cost. Wonfolio writes that from your notes, your CV or your PRDs, and never adds a number you didn’t give it.
Free, no card, no score. One full case study, one application page for a job, and publishing on us.
The section that gets you the interview
Alternatives, decision, cost.
A launch narrative tells a reader what happened. The decision ledger tells them what you would do on their team when the roadmap and the data disagree. Every Wonfolio case study has one, two to four entries, in the middle.
- Alternatives
- The two other things you could have built, or the default the stakeholder wanted.
- Decision
- What you chose, with you in the sentence. Not the team, not the process: you.
- Cost
- What it took: the feature you cut, the quarter it slipped, the argument with sales.
What the reading actually looks like
Three things with a source behind them
PM hiring guides in 2026 ask for two to four case studies with one chain: problem, evidence, alternatives, decision, metrics, learning.
underdog.io, Leland, HelloPM, 2026
Recruiters' first pass over a CV averages 7.4 seconds. A case study gets a little longer, and the first screen decides whether it gets any.
Ladders, Eye-Tracking Study, 2018
Tailored résumés converted 5.75 percent of applications to interviews; generic ones 2.68 percent.
Huntr, 59,000 résumés, reported by Forbes, September 2025
How a reviewer reads a case study, question by question, is in Answers. It was written for UX work and applies to a product manager unchanged.
FAQ
Frequently asked
Is this built for product managers or adapted from a design tool?
The machinery is the same because the hiring is the same: a reader skims for the outcome, then for the decisions you owned and what they cost. Product management has its own section spine (the bet, the decisions, what shipped, the results) and its own work type in the wizard, added after research into how PM portfolios are read.
I don't have metrics for most of my launches. Can I still write one?
Yes. Wonfolio never invents a number. With no figure in your notes it writes the outcome in observable terms: what users could do afterwards, what stopped happening, what the team did next. A number you cannot defend in the interview is worse than no number.
Most of my work is under NDA.
An NDA usually protects the client's name, unreleased screens and internal figures, not the fact that you made a decision. Name the sector, describe the decision, use relative figures.
What does it cost?
One full case study, one application page for one job, and publishing are free, no card. Pro is a subscription that makes both unlimited. Prices are on the pricing page.
Is there a score?
No. A portfolio score would be a lie about how screening works. The free read returns what a reader noticed and where they stopped, which you can act on.
Write the ledger first. The case study grows around it.
Upload your CV or a PRD, or answer seven questions. Ten minutes later the case study has the bet, the decisions, what shipped and the result, and none of it invented. Then paste the job and send a page that leads with it.
